Plank first, prep always
IdahoLVP is a specialist flooring outfit based in Star, Idaho. Luxury vinyl plank and tile is our core work, we prepare the subfloors underneath it, and we repair plank floors that were installed wrong. We also install laminate, engineered wood and solid hardwood for the rooms where plank is not the right answer.
Why specialize
Resilient plank has become the default hard surface in Idaho homes, and the volume has outrun the craft. Most of the failures we are called out to look at — gaps opening across a hallway, seams peaking in August, hollow spots underfoot, glue-down curling in a basement — are not product defects. They are installation and substrate decisions made by crews who install six different materials and treat plank like the easy one.
Working in one category means the manufacturer's written instructions, expansion requirements, moisture test methods and acclimation rules are things we work with every week rather than look up occasionally.
How we work
We check before we quote
Flatness with a straightedge, moisture with a meter or in-situ probes. Prep goes in the estimate, not in a change order.
We follow the written spec
Every product ships with installation instructions that govern its warranty. We install to them, and we will decline work that would require violating them.
We tell you the uncomfortable part
If your crawlspace needs attention first, if the slab needs to dry longer, or if the product you picked is wrong for the room, you hear it before you spend money.
Where we work
The Treasure Valley is our home base and our weekly service area — Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Star, Kuna, Garden City, Middleton and Mountain Home. We also schedule work in the Magic Valley, eastern Idaho and north Idaho as full-day blocks so travel does not inflate your cost. See all service areas.

That covers our workmanship. Your flooring product carries its own manufacturer warranty under the manufacturer's written terms.
We do not publish star ratings, testimonial quotes, review counts, award badges or years-in-business claims on this site, because we will not print numbers you cannot verify. Ask on the call and we will talk you through comparable work instead.
